Rune Horoscope

All runic systems are based on one main concept – the concept of the rune. Rune is not simply a letter or an alphabet sign, but something much more meaningful. Runic alphabets are quite diverse. The most common and established system is the classic ancient German runes - the futhark (the writing system of uncertain origin used by Germanic peoples of northern Europe, Britain, Scandinavia, and Iceland from about the 3rd century to the 16th or 17th century AD). This alphabet consists of 24 characters plus the 25th empty rune, which is used in the rune divination method. It is the futhark that is the key in understanding and learning not only astrology, but also symbolic philosophy; and the fact that the runes are connected with astrology is definitely beyond doubt. Many authors and researchers have come to this conclusion.

The astrological year begins on the day of the vernal equinox, when the Sun enters the zero degree of Aries. This day can be considered the starting point – the beginning of a new annual cycle. 24 Senior Runes split the zodiac signs in two parts, and the Zodiac turns into 24 runic cycles of ten days each. This means that our usual solar astrology, which is based on the position of the Sun in the zodiacal circle, is transformed into something new, because, in addition to the influence of a particular Zodiac sign, now we have the added influence of a particular individual’s rune.
