We have forgotten how to wait. This is an almost forgotten art. While our greatest treasure is being able to wait for the right moment.
All things in nature are waiting for the right moment. Even the trees know this –when it is time to bloom, when it is time to shed all the leaves and stand naked under the sky. They are still beautiful in their nakedness, waiting for new foliage with great confidence. The old is gone, and the new will come soon, and new leaves will begin to grow.
We forgot how to wait. We want everything here and now. This is a huge loss for humanity... In silence and waiting, something inside you continues to grow – your true being. One day it will take a leap and become a flame, and your whole personality is destroyed – you become a new person. This new person knows what this rite means. This new person knows the taste of the eternal juices of life. At times, the only thing we can do is wait: like a planted seed, a child growing in the womb, a mollusk grabbing a grain of sand and turning it into a pearl.
This card reminds us that the time has come when all we need to do is just to be alert, patient and waiting. A woman depicted here just represents an approach. Satisfied, without a trace of anxiety, she is simply waiting. While different phases of the moon change over her head, she remains patient; she is so tunedin with the rhythms of the moon that she became almost one with it. She knows that at this point she has to be passive, allowing nature to take its course. At the same time, she is not sleepy or indifferent; she knows that now she must be ready for something important.
This time is filled with mystery, like a predawn hour. This is the time when the only thing you need to do is wait.
