Anyone who can be a good pretender, a hypocrite, will become your leader in politics, will become your religious priest.
All that person needs is hypocrisy; all he needs is deceit; all he needs is a facade to hide behind. Your politicians live a double life, your priests live a double life: one is a facade, and the other one is a back door. The life from the back door is their real life. These superficial smiles are fake, these faces that look so innocent are just masks. If you want to see the reality of a politician, you need to see his life through his back door. There he will appear before you in his nakedness, as he really is.
The same thing goes for a priest. These two types of insidious people dominate humanity. They very quickly realize that if you want to control human beings, make them weak, make them feel guilty, make them feel unworthy, destroy their dignity, take away all their glory and humiliate them. These people invent such subtle ways of humiliation that you do not even notice them. They also make you humiliate yourself, destroy yourself. They have taught you a way slow kill yourself.
Do you recognize this person? In each of us, besides the most innocent and genuine, there is a politician, lurking somewhere inside our minds. In fact, your mind is the politician. It is in its very nature to plan, to draw up diagrams, and try to manipulate situations and people in order to get what he wants.
Here the mind is represented by a serpent covered with a pattern of clouds and speaking with a forked tongue. However, the most important thing to understand with this card is that both faces are fake. The sweet, innocent face of “trust me” is a mask; and the evil, poisonous face of “I will do whatever I want with you” is also a mask. Politicians have no real faces. The whole game is a lie.
Look at yourself carefully and analyze whether you are playing this game as well. What you see may hurt your feelings, but it’s not as painful as continuing to play the game. In the end, this game does not serve anyone's interests, and least of all – yours. Everything that you can achieve this way will crumble to pieces in your hands.
